The kit

Hardware we trust, run by software we built.

We install a short list of panels, inverters and batteries, chosen for efficiency, safety and one more reason: Kilo OS can connect to them and run them every half hour.

Four pieces of kit. Each one run by Kilo OS.

Solar panels

Aiko Comet 3N72. All-back-contact panels: more power from the same roof.

Aiko Comet 3N72 specifications
Power655 to 690 W per panel
EfficiencyUp to 25.5%
Size2,382 × 1,134 mm
Warranty15 years product (extendable to 25), 30 years performance
AgeingNo more than 1% in year one, then 0.35% a year

Why it matters

Back-contact cells have no wires on the front, so more of each panel catches light. On a roof with limited space that means more kWp, and more saving, from the same square metres.

Smaller or shaded roofs: Aiko Neostar 2P54, 450 to 485 W.

Inverters

FoxESS H3 Pro. Three-phase hybrid inverters that run solar and battery together.

FoxESS H3 Pro specifications
Size15 to 30 kVA per unit, three-phase
Inputs3 solar trackers, 2 battery inputs
ScaleUp to 10 units in parallel
RatingIP65, for indoor or outdoor walls

Why it matters

One inverter manages the panels, the battery and the grid connection, so there is one box to monitor and one connection for Kilo OS. Bigger sites add units rather than changing kit.

Batteries, up to about 150 kWh

FoxESS CQ6. Stackable LFP battery modules for small and medium sites.

FoxESS CQ6 specifications
ChemistryLithium iron phosphate (LFP)
Module5.99 kWh, up to 14 per stack (83.9 kWh)
RatingIP65, IEC 62619

Why it matters

LFP is the safest common battery chemistry and lasts thousands of cycles. Stacks grow with the site: two stacks on one inverter give up to about 144 kWh.

Batteries for larger sites

FoxESS G-MAX Plus. An outdoor cabinet with the battery and inverter built in.

FoxESS G-MAX Plus specifications
Capacity241 kWh per cabinet
Power50 to 125 kW
CellsLFP, liquid cooled, at least 8,000 cycles to 70%
SafetyFire suppression at cabinet and pack level
ScaleUp to 25 cabinets in parallel

Why it matters

For larger sites, one cabinet outside replaces a wall of modules inside. It is the battery behind our larger business cases.

Specifications from the manufacturers’ datasheets. The exact models, sizes and warranty terms for your site are set out in your business case.

How Kilo OS connects

One cloud connection. No extra boxes on your wall.

Kilo OS talks to the inverter and battery through FoxESS’s cloud API. Nothing extra is installed on site, and the system keeps working on its own settings if the internet drops.

We confirm the connection for your exact inverter and battery at design stage, before you sign.

Kilo OS

What it reads

  • Live solar, battery, site and grid power
  • Battery charge level and health
  • Meter readings, day, month and year

What it sets

  • A schedule for the day in time slots
  • When to charge, hold and discharge the battery
  • A reserve to keep back for a power cut

Done properly

The standards behind every install.

G99 grid applicationGrid approval

Every business system needs approval from the local network operator before it is installed. We apply, answer their questions and give you the date.

Export limitation (G100)Constrained networks

Where the local network is constrained, a meter and control cap what you send back, so you can still fit the system you need.

Battery safetyCode of Practice

Business batteries are designed and placed to the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems, and your fire risk assessment is updated.

MeteringImport and export

A three-phase meter at the grid connection measures what you import and export. It is what export limiting and Kilo OS both read.
